ELUCID
Born in Queens and raised in Long Island, rapper/producer ELUCID has been at the forefront of New York's avant-garde for much of the past decade. From his earliest days dropping self-produced mixtapes, while working with artists as disparate as Tanya Morgan, J*Davey, A.M. Breakups, and Beans from Antipop Consortium, ELUCID always brought his own unique vibration to every collaboration. It was no different when he and fellow NYC iconoclast billy woods joined forces as Armand Hammer in 2013 and, over the next ten years, put together a discography strong enough to rival any duo in hip-hop. ELUCID's critically acclaimed solo debut Save Yourself dropped on Backwoodz Studioz in 2016, and was quickly followed by 2017's searing travelogue of an EP, Valley of Grace. Since then ELUCID has released projects with a variety of different labels while working with some of hip-hop's most celebrated artists: Moor Mother, JPEGMAFIA, Earl Sweatshirt, Open Mike Eagle, The Alchemist, Pink Siifu, R.A.P. Ferreira, The Lasso, Nicholas Craven, and Quelle Chris, amongst others.. Although he is best known as a vocalist, ELUCID's resume as a producer has quietly grown quite impressive, including a film score (2017's Bernadette), an experimental album (2020's Seership), full projects for Backwoodz affiliates ShrapKnel and Duncecap, and self production on 2016's Osage and 2018's Shit Don't Rhyme No More.
